Job summary

Verano in New Jersey is seeking a Cannabis Advisor to deliver exceptional customer service, provide educational consulting on cannabis products, and assist with patient record handling where applicable. You will greet customers, explain product types, methods, and usage, ensure compliance with state laws, and support store operations while maintaining a clean, organized front of house.

Compliance, accuracy in online orders and knowledge of METRC/BioTrack are valued.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–2 years of retail or hospitality experience.
• Must be 21 years of age and comply with local/state/company regulations.
• Willingness to learn about cannabinoids, terpenes, and product application/consumption methods.
• Ability to use office equipment and software (Word, Excel, email).
• Learn and understand state and local laws relating to cannabis industry and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and patients with a positive attitude.
• Advocate cannabis customer care and education.
• Educate customers on cannabis products, types, methods, and efficacy.
• Build rapport with regular customers to promote repeat business.
• Ensure accurate processing of transactions at POS and inventory systems.
