Job summary

Verano is seeking a Cannabis Advisor in Newark, OH to deliver exceptional customer service, educate customers on cannabis products, and assist with basic patient record processes when needed. Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1-2 years of retail or hospitality experience.
• Must be 21 years of age and comply with regulations.
• Criminal background check and appropriate state badging.
• Desire to learn about cannabinoids and product use.
• Ability to use office equipment and software (Word, Excel, email).
• Understand laws related to the cannabis industry and safety.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and patients with a positive attitude.
• Be an advocate of cannabis customer care.
• Educate customers on cannabis products and usage.
• Build rapport with regular customers to promote repeat business.
• Work well in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Provide product information while not giving medical advice.
• Participate in ongoing cannabis education and training.
• Support managers and other Cannabis Advisors as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized workstation and store front.
• Ensure accuracy of online orders before pick-up.
• Understand and apply compliance regulations as required by laws.
• Stock and replenish displays and inventory.
• Complete POS transactions and update inventory systems (METRC, BioTrack).
• Fulfill other duties as assigned.
