Job summary

Parallel in Gainesville, FL is seeking Packaging Technicians to join our cannabis packaging team. Start date is October 1, 2026, with a 2-week training period from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM. Pay rate is $16.00 per hour, and this is a full-time role.

Regular schedules include 4 consecutive work days at 10-hour shifts with 3 days off. After training, choose between Sunday-Wednesday or Wednesday-Saturday shifts, with potential changes based on staffing needs.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Valid government-issued photo ID.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to stay focused and productive while performing repetitive tasks.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Reliable attendance and commitment to workplace safety.

Responsibilities

• Package cannabis flower and pre-roll products according to established standards and procedures.
• Follow all company policies, SOPs, and Florida medical marijuana regulations.
• Verify product quality, weights, counts, labels, and packaging accuracy.
• Inspect products throughout the packaging process to ensure quality standards are maintained.
• Prepare and manage raw materials needed for production runs.
• Assist with inventory counts and material tracking.
• Calibrate, operate, clean, and maintain packaging equipment and tools.
• Complete production documentation, maintenance logs, and required records accurately.
• Support efficient line setup, changeovers, and breakdown activities.
• Assist with shipping and receiving functions as needed.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and quality.
• Partner with other departments to support overall facility objectives.
