Job summary

Essential Employment Services, Inc is seeking a Retail Personal Service Provider for our Meriden cannabis dispensary to deliver an exceptional customer experience, help patients and customers select the right products, and ensure compliance with state regulations.

You will assist customers, process transactions, maintain a clean store, handle cash, and work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. A background check and cannabis product knowledge are required.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age or older (as required by state law).
• Previous customer service experience, preferably in retail or a cannabis-related field.
• Strong knowledge of cannabis products, including strains, consumption methods, and effects (or a strong willingness to learn).
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage with a variety of customers.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Must be able to pass a background check (as required by state law).
• Basic math skills and the ability to handle cash and register transactions.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Complete Compliant Customer/Patient transactions
• Assist or escalate disgruntled customers/patients to Manager on Duty
• Take out trash and assist in keeping the sales floor clean
• Confirm cash register begins and ends at $200
• Confirm accurate cash drops
• Parking Lot Sweeps
• Build online orders (when there is downtime)
• Research current products
• Clean glass fixtures
• Assist in Greeter position duties when needed
• Access patient records with confidentiality
