Job summary

St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, TN seeks an innovative Scientist to investigate how gene regulation and nuclear organization shape mammalian cell identity and contribute to disease, including pediatric cancers.

This bench-based role requires hands-on experience with high-throughput genomics and imaging within a collaborative environment. The successful candidate will lead projects using ChIP-seq, CUT&RUN, ATAC-seq, RNA-seq, Hi-C, and imaging, and will design experiments,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in cancer biology, cell biology, molecular biology, or related field.
• PhD strongly preferred.
• Eight years of relevant work experience; six with a Master's; three with a PhD.
• Proven ability to lead complex research projects and collaborate across teams.
• Hands-on bench scientist with independence and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate multiple research projects and perform bench experiments.
• Develop protocols and assist in new laboratory techniques.
• Monitor data quality and integrity of recorded information.
• Draft sections of research manuscripts for publication.
• Maintain equipment and oversee lab supplies and inventory.
• Collaborate on study and analysis design with PIs.
• Adhere to field and lab standards for data generation and analysis.
• Attend meetings and present findings; increase independence over time.
