Job summary

The Abraham Laboratory at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is seeking an innovative Scientist to study gene regulation and nuclear organization in mammalian cells, including pediatric cancers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific field required.
• PhD strongly preferred; substantial post‑graduate research experience advantageous.
• Eight years of relevant work experience required; fewer years acceptable with higher degree.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate multiple research projects and perform bench laboratory experiments using diverse techniques.
• Develop and optimize protocols; contribute to new laboratory methods as needed.
• Monitor data quality and integrity; organize, interpret, and report results comprehensively.
• Draft sections of research manuscripts and assist with data management and reproducibility.
• Provide basic lab operations support, including equipment maintenance and procurement; manage inventory.
• Collaborate on experimental design and analysis with principal investigators; set priorities across projects.
