Job summary

Serova in San Francisco is seeking a patient liaison to manage every aspect of a patient’s journey from sign-up through treatment options, trials, and follow-up. You will be the single point of contact for patients, families, and physicians, coordinating with hospitals, clinics, and insurers to keep care seamless.

The role may evolve toward a nursing-like function as we scale; you should be fast, calm with seriously ill patients, and able to work unsupervised across US time zones, with HIPAA

Qualifications

• Experience in patient navigation or trial support.
• Ability to coordinate across clinicians, labs and hospitals.
• Familiarity with HIPAA and handling health information.
• Based in SF or willing to relocate.
• Authorized to work in the US.

Responsibilities

• Guide patients through sign-up, consent, records requests and expectations.
• Identify treatment options including trials and expanded access and check eligibility.
• Collaborate with physicians to turn findings into actionable options.
• Coordinate with hospitals and treating physicians to avoid gaps.
• Manage sample collection/shipping with labs and sequencing partners.
• Keep patients and families updated on sequencing, manufacturing and treatment dates.
• Resolve obstacles with manufacturers, hospitals, shipping and cost with the insurance lead.
• Arrange practical support such as travel and scheduling.
• Maintain accurate, confidential patient records.
