Job summary

UVA Health's Emily Couric Cancer Center is seeking a Health Education Program Coordinator to connect patients and families with education resources, navigation, and supportive services across the cancer care continuum.

This role leads education programming, digital engagement, and resource development, partnering with clinicians and operational leaders to ensure resources are accessible and effectively communicated throughout the cancer journey.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Minimum of two years of relevant professional experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement patient education and awareness initiatives.
• Create brochures, flyers, digital content, and other educational materials.
• Support social media and digital engagement efforts.
• Promote available oncology support services to patients and families.
• Collaborate across clinical and operational teams to improve patient communication strategies.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and enhanced patient engagement.
• Help design innovative approaches to patient navigation and survivorship education.
• Evaluate and improve how patients learn about and access available resources.
