Job summary

Cadence Innovations Group is seeking a Cancellations Payable Clerk to support a high-volume, detail-oriented finance team. You will reconcile vendor statements, review payables, and manage contract cancellations with accuracy and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Experience in accounts payable, accounting operations, or a similar clerical/financial role.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies.
• High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills — verbal, written, and customer-service oriented.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.
• Strong relationship-building skills and a collaborative working approach.
• Familiarity with accounting systems or ERP platforms (experience with Acumatica is a plus).
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and following internal policies and controls.

Responsibilities

• Reconcile vendor statements and research discrepancies; identify, resolve, and correct errors promptly.
• Review approved payables and verify amounts for accuracy, completeness, and reasonableness.
• Manage contract cancellations with efficiency and consistency, handling a high volume of requests.
• Consistently ensure timely and accurate processing of payments.
• Communicate with automotive dealers and lienholders to obtain necessary documents and confirm payment status.
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external customers.
• Work collaboratively as a flexible team player to support department goals and accounting objectives.
• Maintain accurate documentation in alignment with company policies, internal controls, and audit requirements.
• Prepare reports and analyses as needed to support decision-making and operational visibility.
