Job summary

Pedder Auto Group in Lake Elsinore, CA is seeking a detail-oriented Cancellation Clerk to support automotive operations by processing F&I product cancellations, including warranties, GAP, and service contracts.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience in automotive dealership office, accounting, or contracts processing preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to manage high-volume, repetitive tasks efficiently.
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
• Experience with dealership systems (Reynolds & Reynolds, CDK, or similar) is a plus.
• Prior experience handling F&I cancellations, chargebacks, or contracts-in-transit (CIT) experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Process cancellations of F&I products including service contracts, warranties, GAP, and ancillary products
• Submit cancellation requests to vendors and track status through completion
• Ensure accurate calculation and processing of refunds and chargebacks
• Maintain organized records of all cancellation documentation and correspondence
• Communicate with customers, lenders, and internal departments regarding cancellation status
• Work closely with accounting to ensure proper posting and reconciliation
• Follow up on outstanding cancellations to ensure timely completion and funding adjustments
• Ensure compliance with state, lender, and dealership policies
