Job summary

Oregon State University is seeking a Work Study Student in the Animal and Rangeland Sciences department to assist with general office tasks on campus in Withycombe Hall. The role supports the AnRS main office, answering phones, filing, scanning, and manuscript assistance.

You will help update the website, photograph and videotape animals and farming units for multimedia use, and assist the undergraduate advisor and program specialist with daily duties.

Qualifications

• Must be academically enrolled in a high school, community college, or university and pursuing a program or course of study
• Must meet Academic Standing Requirements; students on academic suspension are not eligible for employment
• Must meet the applicable minimal enrollment standard
• High School student: Regularly enrolled in a high school or participating in a home‑schooling program
• Undergraduate and post‑baccalaureate student: 6 credit hours per term
• Undergraduate international student: 12 credit hours per term
• Graduate student officially admitted to Graduate School: 5 credit hours per term
• Graduate international student officially admitted to Graduate School: 9 credit hours per term
• International students may be allowed to carry fewer hours than specified above and still be considered “full‑time” by USCIS; reduced course load must be provided to OIS.

Responsibilities

• Employee will work in Withycombe Hall providing general clerical assistance as needed
• Assist advisor with website updating, digital signboard upkeep, paperwork, photograph and videotape AnRS animals, farming units, students and faculty for multimedia use as requested
• General office work including answering phones, greet visitors, filing, scanning, copy and manuscript assistance
