Job summary

Rochester Institute of Technology's Recreation and Wellness team is seeking a Program Coordinator to develop, implement, and assess a diverse slate of wellness programs that support student engagement and wellbeing on campus.

The role leads initiatives, supervises student staff, and collaborates across campus to create an inclusive, safe, and engaging environment. Evening/weekend hours may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field is required.
• 1 year of relevant experience in recreation/wellness programming is required.
• Experience in higher education is preferred.
• Conversational ASL skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Hire, train, supervise, and mentor student staff to run recreation programs.
• Manage safety education programs (CPR, first aid) and develop training materials.
• Develop and manage risk management programs and related documentation.
• Monitor resident safety and coordinate with campus security and emergency services.
