Job summary

Point Park University is seeking a part-time Guest Relations Specialist to greet visitors and assist students and staff. You will be the first friendly face, provide directions, answer questions, and help ensure a welcoming campus environment.

The role includes supporting events, coordinating with Admissions and Conferences, handling the switchboard, and assisting with signage and campus wayfinding, with shifts including days, evenings, and weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Associate or bachelor's degree in hospitality or related field preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle stressful situations professionally.

Responsibilities

• Serve as front-line representative for guests, students, and faculty.
• Provide welcome, directions, and wayfinding support.
• Coordinate with Admissions and Conferences to ensure smooth events.
• Assist with wayfinding and general inquiries.
• Answer the university switchboard and transfer calls.
• Assist in emergency situations by guiding guests to safety.
• Maintain records of visitor logs.
• Assist in programming digital display signage across campus.
• Other duties as assigned by the Director Conference and Events and/or supervisor.
