Job summary

The Texas A&M University Appelt Aggieland Visitor Center seeks a Program Coordinator II to plan, manage and improve major Visitor Center programs. You will supervise the Howdy Crew, train student guides, approve timesheets, and coordinate logistics for campus visits and events while coordinating cross‑unit collaboration.

Qualified candidates have a bachelor degree or equivalent with 4 years in program administration or event planning, strong organizational skills, and effective communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Four years of related experience in program administration, event management, student advising, or high-level administrative support.
• Strong organizational and communication abilities with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• supervise Howdy Crew student tour guides, including training, certification and auditing.
• Approve timesheets and monitor scheduling for ~150 student employees.
• Develop and update training materials, campus maps, and tour content.
• Lead coordination of specialty visits and major events at the Visitor Center.
• Oversee event logistics, including setup, catering, registration and AV.
• Provide on-site support for events and mentor student staff.
