Job summary

The University of Kansas seeks an Admissions Visit and Event Specialist to coordinate on- and off-campus recruitment events and enhance the campus visit experience for prospective students and families.

Responsibilities include planning, logistics, staff coordination, and hosting in-person visits, with some evenings/weekends and travel required. The role supports broad recruitment efforts through presentations, CRM management, and host activities.

Qualifications

• High School diploma/GED with 4 years relevant experience, or Associate's/Bachelor's with related field.
• Strong public speaking or presentations experience in academic, volunteer, or professional settings as evidenced by application materials.
• Effective communication skills as evidenced by application materials.
• Strong project management and organizational abilities as evidenced by application materials.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute on-campus and off-campus events, coordinating with campus partners and KU ambassador program.
• Develop event timelines, manage logistics (space, catering, tech) and staffing, and track registrations in Slate.
• Create event registration forms and pre/post-event communications; evaluate programs for future improvements.
• Coordinate agendas and presentations to ensure visit and event readiness.
• Manage event budgets and submission of expenses; assist with outreach efforts across recruitment events.
