Job summary

Center City Public Charter Schools is seeking a dependable Campus Operations & Transportation Associate to split duties between student transportation and campus operations at an assigned DC campus. The role emphasizes safety, reliability, and hands-on support.

Transportation will be the primary function, with about 60% of time on routes and supervision; 40% spent on facilities, inventory, deliveries, events, and operational projects to keep the campus safe and efficient.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid CDL with school bus endorsements required.
• Clean driving record and ability to meet regulatory requirements for operating a school bus.
• Ability to pass required background checks and drug screenings.
• Previous school bus operating experience preferred.
• Strong reliability, punctuality, and attendance.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport students between campuses, MakerSpace, field trips, and events.
• Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and report safety or maintenance concerns.
• Maintain clean, organized, and mechanically sound buses and ensure fuel readiness.
• Comply with traffic laws and Center City PCS policies.
• Provide student supervision during transport and assist boarding/exiting as needed.
• Complete routes on time and communicate scheduling issues promptly.
• Maintain transportation documentation and records.
• Support campus operations tasks when not actively driving.
• Assist with event logistics and campus setup.
