Transdev Service, Inc. seeks an Assistant General Manager for the University of Tennessee Knoxville Shuttle contract. The role oversees operations, safety, employee management, asset control, risk, client relations, and financial performance.

Qualifications

• Four-year college degree in a relevant field is desirable, but experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
• Experience in Business Administration, Logistics, Transportation or related field, or equivalent.
• At least 5 years managing a fixed route or paratransit operation of similar size and scope.
• Knowledge of relevant federal and state employment laws.
• Understanding of transit system regulations and operations.

Responsibilities

• Proven relationship builder with employees, client, union partners, and community.
• Sets strategic direction for the business unit and leads the management team to achieve safety, service, and financial goals.
• Identify and develop business growth opportunities.
• Optimize return on assets including vehicle scheduling, maintenance, and performance management.
• Identify and analyze KPIs to maintain positive results.
• Ensure services are within budget and drive operational efficiencies.
