Job summary

Collin College seeks a part-time IT/AV support technician to provide technical assistance for software, hardware, peripherals, and audio-visual equipment across campus and events. You will troubleshoot issues, assist users, and document activities in the ticketing system.

The role involves setting up AV equipment for classes and events, imaging and maintaining devices, and ensuring compliance with district policies. Travel between campuses may be required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree from an accredited institution and three years of related work experience.
• Security sensitive position with background check.
• Ability to travel between campuses.
• Knowledge of audio-visual equipment and conferencing systems.
• Familiarity with institutional policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support and services to the college community for classes and events on and off campus.
• Assist with computer, Internet, wireless, and media issues for students, faculty and staff.
• Set up, run, and tear down audio-visual equipment for events and conferences.
• Install, image, and maintain equipment in assigned areas.
• Document tickets in the ticketing system and support requests accordingly.
• Remediate security threats and maintain inventory records.
