Job summary

University of Southern California (USC) Department of Public Safety is seeking a Surveillance Operations Monitor to oversee CCTV and alarm monitoring across USC campuses. The role supports the department’s mission to maintain a secure campus by coordinating with Public Safety personnel, police, and other agencies during incidents and investigations.

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent required.
• Associates or Bachelor's Degree preferred; discipline unspecified.

Responsibilities

• Monitor CCTV systems and alarms to support safety operations.
• Respond to Public Safety requests and incidents as part of investigations.
• Document incidents and actions in incident reporting systems.
• Coordinate with law enforcement and emergency services when needed.
• Testify in court as needed and perform as CSA under Clery Act.
