Job summary

UC San Diego Temporary Employment Services is seeking a Storekeeper to support data entry of part numbers, stock and receipts in the Maximo system and to coordinate campus inventory counts. This 8-hour daily, Monday–Friday position is on-site at the UCSD campus and offers a temporary assignment with benefits through TES.

Responsibilities include maintaining stock, organizing satellite shops, arranging vendor pickups, processing paperwork, and ensuring outgoing Marketplace orders are scanned

Qualifications

• Ability to lift 20-50 lbs.
• Ability to drive a large pickup or delivery box truck.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Organized and able to handle shifting deadlines.
• Basic computer skills.
• Must be able to start immediately after employment offer.
• Must be willing to work 40 hours per week.
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7 a.m.–3:30 p.m.; may vary incl. early start or Saturdays.

Responsibilities

• Storekeeper will assist with data entry of part numbers, stock and receipts into Maximo inventory system.
• Responsible for inventory counts (monthly or quarterly) of satellite shops on campus and reporting.
• Assist with year-end parts count and reporting.
• Help develop and maintain organization of satellite shops.
• Maintain and distribute stock.
• Assist with pickups of excess equipment and supplies, tagging and logging.
• Move items and process related documentation.
• Arrange pickups from vendors as needed.
• Research parts requested by satellite shops; file purchasing and operational paperwork.
• Ensure outgoing Marketplace orders are scanned before delivery.
