Job summary

University of California, Merced is seeking an Assistant Storekeeper to help manage receiving, logistics, organization, and distribution of Campus Store inventory not on the sales floor. You will maintain computer-based records of back stock and inventory locations, supporting inventory-related admin tasks.

The role requires familiarity with inventory systems, ability to lift heavy items, and forklift certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment with changing deadlines.
• Experience handling inventory and following policies/procedures.
• Proficient with Windows-based programs including MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Forklift certification preferred or required where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Assist in receiving, logistics, organization, and distribution of Campus Store inventory not on the sales floor.
• Maintain accurate computer-based records of inventory in back stock and locations.
• Support inventory-related administrative tasks and receiving functions.
• Operate a 20‑foot truck and assist with stock movement as needed.
