Job summary

BARNES & NOBLE COLLEGE is seeking a Temporary Campus Store Team Member to deliver exceptional customer service and support daily store operations. You will greet customers, help locate materials, and ensure a well-stocked, organized sales floor.

This role involves operating the POS, handling transactions, and maintaining product knowledge to assist shoppers. Flexible scheduling applies during peak periods in a busy campus setting.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Previous retail or customer service experience preferred.
• Passion for delivering exceptional customer service and creating a positive shopping experience.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships with customers and teammates.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers, answer questions, and provide friendly, knowledgeable service.
• Assist customers in finding course materials, school supplies, apparel, gifts, and other merchandise.
• Operate the point-of-sale system to accurately process transactions, including cash, credit, and financial aid purchases.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked sales floor through merchandising and replenishment.
• Support daily store operations by assisting with inventory, receiving merchandise, and order fulfillment.
• Develop product knowledge about merchandise, promotions, store services, and course materials.
• Collaborate with teammates to accomplish daily priorities in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Contribute to a clean, safe, and organized store reflecting the Barnes & Noble College brand.
