Job summary

Barnes & Noble College is seeking a Temporary Campus Store Team Member to deliver friendly, knowledgeable service and help customers locate materials and supplies. You will operate the POS system, assist with inventory, and keep the floor organized to reflect the brand.

The role is a temporary assignment with varied hours, up to 90 days, offering a gateway to campus retail experience and employee discounts. Candidates must be 16+ with strong communication skills and reliability.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old (minimum age varies by location).
• Previous retail or customer service experience preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills essential.
• Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Basic math, keyboarding, and data entry skills required.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide friendly, knowledgeable service.
• Assist customers with locating course materials, supplies, apparel, and gifts.
• Operate the point-of-sale system to process transactions.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked sales floor.
• Support inventory, receiving merchandise, and order fulfillment as needed.
