Barnes & Noble College is looking for an Assistant Store Manager to co-lead the campus store, deliver exceptional customer experiences, and drive business results. You will develop the team, merchandise, manage inventory, and support campus relationships to create a vibrant store environment.

Ideal candidates bring 2–3 years in retail with leadership experience, strong communication skills, and proficiency with POS systems and MS Office.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of retail experience, including leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
• Experience with retail operations: merchandising, inventory, guest service.
• Strong communication, organizational and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily sales floor operations with a customer-first mindset.
• Recruit, hire, train, coach, schedule and develop store team members.
• Drive sales and operations by analyzing trends and managing controllable expenses.
• Build relationships with customers, campus partners and team members to enhance service.
• Develop expertise across store departments and support operational activities.
