Job summary

Follett Higher Education in Mesa, AZ is seeking a Campus Store Manager to lead all facets of store operations and drive sales growth while delivering exceptional customer service.

You will mentor and develop the store team, manage financials, plan short/long-term initiatives, and partner with the Regional Manager on campus relations and performance. A Bachelor's degree and retail management experience are required; travel is minimal.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent.
• 3-5 years of retail management or strong customer service experience.
• General Computer Skills.
• Academic retail experience is a plus.
• Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
• Vital customer service, communication, and presentation skills.
• Strong analytical skills and financial acumen.
• Advanced relationship building, a demonstrated ability to influence a team, and customer outreach.
• Travel: minimal - less than 10%.

Responsibilities

• Execute sales promotions, events, book signings, and display setup.
• Lead in-store course materials activities with course materials leadership.
• Review store financials with Regional Manager and adjust to drive sales; manage shrink.
• Review and approve store markups, markdowns, and write-offs within guidelines.
• Ensure security of assets and safety of associates and customers; enforce policies.
• Facilitate campus/community events and maintain campus communications.
• Develop cross-functional teams and drive operational standards to achieve results.
• Recruit, train, coach, and develop all team members.
• Maintain a neat, clean, and orderly store and ensure health/safety compliance; may oversee cafe.
