Job summary

Barnes & Noble College seeks a Department Manager to lead a store department, drive sales, manage inventory, and coach a team in a dynamic campus bookstore environment.

You'll partner with store leadership to execute merchandising strategies, uphold safety standards, and deliver an exceptional customer experience while developing staff and optimizing daily operations across evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of retail experience, including leadership or buying experience.
• Proven leadership in recruiting, coaching, and motivating team members.
• Experience with retail operations, merchandising, inventory management, and sales performance.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities
