Job summary

Barnes & Noble College is seeking a Seasonal Campus Store Team Member to deliver exceptional customer service on a busy campus store floor. You will assist students, faculty, and staff with course materials, apparel, and convenience items while maintaining a welcoming shopping environment.

Responsibilities include operating the POS system, stocking shelves, and supporting daily store operations. This role requires flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and peak academic periods.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Previous retail or customer service experience preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with customers and teammates.
• Basic math, keyboarding, and data entry skills.
• Ability to multitask and adapt to a fast-paced retail environment.
• Dependable, self-motivated and able to work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Deliver an exceptional customer experience by greeting customers and providing friendly service.
• Assist customers in locating materials and merchandise to meet their needs.
• Operate the point-of-sale system to process transactions including cash and purchases.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and stocked sales floor through merchandising and replenishment.
• Support daily store operations with inventory, receiving, and other tasks.
• Develop product knowledge to confidently assist customers and explain store services.
• Work with teammates to meet daily priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Contribute to a clean, safe, and organized store reflecting the Barnes & Noble College brand.
