Chartwells Higher Education in Fayetteville, AR is seeking a salaried Sous Chef to support student dining operations at the University of Arkansas. You will supervise and assist in cooking, menu development, and daily kitchen tasks in a fast-paced environment.

You will collaborate with the Executive Chef and culinary team on cost controls, new menu concepts, and catering events, with opportunities for growth within Chartwells' expanding campus dining program.

Qualifications

• A.S. or equivalent experience required.
• Culinary/kitchen management experience preferred.
• Experience in high volume, complex foodservice operations.
• Experience with institutional and batch cooking.
• Knowledge of food cost controls and sanitation.
• Computer proficiency required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Executive Chef and culinary team with managing cost controls and control expenditures for the account
• Assists the Executive Chef and culinary team with planning and creating menus
• Produce and execute catering events
• Roll out new culinary programs in conjunction with the marketing and culinary teams
• Foster strong client relationships to align our programs with their objectives, driving satisfaction and retention
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the efficient functioning of dining service operations
