Job summary

Chartwells Higher Education is seeking a Sous Chef at the University of North Carolina Asheville in Asheville, NC. You will support culinary operations for student dining, supervise hourly associates as needed, and work with Executive Chefs to develop menus and manage kitchen activities.

Qualifications

• A.S. or equivalent experience required.
• Experience in high-volume, complex foodservice operations preferred.
• ServSafe Certified is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Executive Chef and culinary team with managing cost controls and expenditures for the account.
• Assist planning and creation of menus with the Executive Chef and culinary team.
• Produce and execute catering events.
• Roll out new culinary programs with marketing and culinary teams.
• Foster strong client relationships to align programs with client objectives and drive satisfaction.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support dining service operations.
