Job summary

Hamilton College is seeking a Campus Shuttle Driver to join our transportation team. This essential role provides safe and reliable transportation for students, operating 7-passenger and 12-passenger vans in various weather conditions. Responsibilities include conducting vehicle inspections, ensuring passenger safety, and maintaining logs.

The position is part-time and may require flexible hours based on the academic calendar. A valid U.S. Driver’s License and a clean driving record are required. Compensation is $20.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid U.S. Driver’s License (Class D/Standard).
• Must have a clean driving record with no moving violations within the past three years.
• At least 3 years of licensed driving experience is preferred.
• Ability to sit for extended periods and assist passengers with luggage or equipment as needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate 7-passenger mini-vans and 12-passenger transit vans safely.
• Provide transportation to local transit hubs along with on-campus and off-campus shuttle loops.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles.
• Ensure all passengers follow safety protocols.
• Maintain accurate mileage logs and report any mechanical issues.
