Job summary

Stephens College is seeking a Campus Safety & Security Manager to lead the safety team, oversee patrols, training, and policy compliance. Reporting to the Executive Director, the role ensures professional, community-centered safety services on campus.

The position requires an Associate’s degree and security leadership experience, with collaboration across departments and local emergency services. Location is Columbia, MO, with a salary of $50,000–$55,000 per year.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Criminal Justice, Emergency Management, Public Safety, or related field.
• Minimum of three years of security, campus safety, or related experience.
• Minimum of one year of supervisory or lead experience in security/public safety.

Responsibilities

• Oversees daily Campus Safety operations and patrol coverage.
• Directs supervision of Campus Safety Lead Officers, including scheduling and performance monitoring.
• Reviews and ensures accuracy of incident reports; conducts investigations and supports Clery Act reporting.
• Develops and delivers training for all staff; maintains training records and compliance.
• Provides safety services such as escorts, jump starts, and lost-and-found management.
• Maintains relationships with local law enforcement and campus partners; supports coordinated safety operations.
• Serves as interim leader and supports budgeting, policy development, and emergency planning.
