Job summary

University of Mount Saint Vincent is seeking a Director for Campus Safety to lead the 24/7 safety operations, develop policies, and coordinate with law enforcement and university leadership. The role ensures a safe, service-oriented environment for students, faculty, staff, and visitors.

Ideal candidate has 7–10 years in security management or emergency management with leadership experience and a bachelor’s degree in a related field.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7-10 years of progressive experience in security management, law enforcement, or emergency management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage Campus Safety with staffing, training, scheduling, supervision and performance evaluation.
• Oversee 24/7 Campus Safety operations, incident response, and coordination with internal/external partners.
• Develop and enforce safety policies, post orders, emergency protocols and parking/visitor management.
• Coordinate campus emergency preparedness activities including plans, drills and after-action reviews.
