Job summary

Imperial Valley College is seeking a Substitute-Campus Safety Specialist to assist in organizing and overseeing day-to-day Campus Safety operations at Imperial, CA. This role supports safety regulations, incident response, and parking control to maintain a secure campus environment.

The successful candidate will perform clerical duties, generate reports, train student employees, and help implement emergency planning and drills in coordination with Campus Safety staff.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and 1 year of clerical, public safety, or related experience.
• Familiarity with safety regulations, incident reporting, and parking control preferred.
• Strong clerical and reporting skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide information and assistance to students, staff, and the public regarding safety and parking control.
• Assist in the coordination and execution of campus safety events and training.
• Perform clerical duties such as answering calls, keyboarding, generating reports, and maintaining records.
• Patrol campus grounds and facilities; issue parking citations; report incidents to authorities; respond to incidents as needed.
• Provide follow-up reporting and corrective action regarding safety incidents.
• Train and provide work direction to assigned student employees; interview and select student employees; assign and schedule them.
