Campus Safety Officer

Pay: $16.50 per hour (pay range may vary based on geographic location)

Job Summary: The Campus Safety Officer will assist in providing campus-wide public safety for college staff, students, and visitors in coordination with local law enforcement and emergency personnel. Duties include patrolling campus property while enforcing safety regulations. Responsibilities include assessing and identifying possible hazards (lighting, fire safety, mechanical areas) during patrols.
(This position is designated by the institution as a “Campus Security Authority” (CSA). As a CSA, you are required to report any information about crimes occurring on or near campus to the Director of Campus Safety).

Required Core Competencies and Experience:
Preferred Experience:
Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's degree preferred.
Certifications: Ability to obtain or possess valid driver’s license, including Class E license.
Other Requirements: Background check, valid driver’s license, willingness to work shifts and at events.
Physical Requirements: Ability to sit, talk, hear, handle objects, reach, climb, stoop, kneel, type, and use a computer regularly. Accommodations available for disabilities.
Work Conditions: Rare exposure to outside weather; potential hazards when operating equipment.
