Job summary

Follett Corporation is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support a Market Leader or Campus Store Manager in daily store operations in Tallahassee. You will drive sales growth while maintaining brand and operational excellence, and mentor team members to deliver an engaging customer experience.

Responsibilities include supervising sales staff, onboarding, customer service, cash handling, and ensuring merchandising standards. Follett Higher Education remains a drug-free workplace.

Qualifications

• An Associate's Degree or equivalent is preferred.
• 0-5 years of retail or bookstore experience preferred. Prior supervisory experience preferred.
• General Computer Skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise sales team activities and schedules.
• Train new and seasonal staff.
• Greet customers, answer calls, provide information and resolve escalated issues.
• Handle cash, deposits, and balancing cash drawer per procedures.
• Assist with inventory, merchandising, and store cleanliness.
• Support opening/closing duties as needed.
