Job summary

The College of Southern Nevada invites applications for a Recreation Assistant to support Athletics & Campus Recreation operations, events, and marketing efforts. You will assist at the recreation desk, handle member services, check IDs, process memberships, and help with facility upkeep.

Responsibilities include coordinating events, leading marketing activities, and guiding students in fitness programs while maintaining a clean and welcoming campus recreation environment.

Qualifications

• Eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Enthusiasm for indoor and outdoor recreation programming.
• Ability to work independently, takes initiative, and as a team on a variety of complex projects.
• Marketing and sales experience.
• Creativity and ability to plan engaging events and promotions.
• Ability to lift 30 lbs or more.
• Preferred: previous campus experience.
• Preferred: customer service experience.
• Preferred: experience using Microsoft Office & Canva.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service at the recreation desk and support daily operations, programs, and events.
• Plan and execute large-scale daily recreation, fitness, and sporting events.
• Lead marketing projects including social media, newsletters, flyers, and tabling.
• Develop and lead passive and active programs and guide students in fitness activities and events.
• Maintain cleanliness of facilities, equipment, and operation areas.
• Manage equipment check-out and day-use lockers; perform light janitorial tasks.
• Accurately enter membership information and stats into Excel.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
