Job summary

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma/GED; Associates degree or higher preferred.
• Prior Military, Corrections, Law Enforcement, Dispatch, or Security experience preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
• Mental toughness to perform and lead during crisis.

Responsibilities

• Act as the first point of contact for any emergency or non-emergency calls.
• Manage a multi-line control system in high-pressure or emergency situations.
• Use a wide variety of communication systems to answer and respond to questions.
• Daily patrol activity to ensure campus safety and security.
• Security staffing of special events and programs.
• Life safety checks of campus buildings and systems.
• Enforcement of University rules and regulations.
• Provide safety escorts to campus community members as needed.
• Monitor and respond to university alarm systems and access control.
