Ohio State University is seeking a Public Safety Communications Supervisor to oversee dispatchers, alarm and video monitoring specialists, and student staff within the DPS Communication and Central Alarm Center.

The role directs daily operations, mentors staff, coordinates scheduling, and ensures staffing levels meet demands while upholding policies, procedures, and safety standards across the university campus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; 3 years of relevant experience required.
• 4-8 years of relevant experience preferred.
• Any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the applicant with the knowledge, skills and ability required to successfully perform the duties of the position.

Responsabilités

• Oversee Public Safety Dispatchers, Alarm and Video Monitoring Specialists, and student support staff.
• Assign and delegate work projects and schedule employees to maintain proper staffing levels.
• Evaluate work performance, provide coaching and mentoring, and implement corrective action as needed.
• Provide training needs assessment and technical assistance on dispatching and monitoring equipment, LEADS, and related policies.
