Job summary

The Parking Services Worker at Rochambeau, The French International School of Washington, DC, is a part-time, intermittent position based in Bethesda, MD. You will direct traffic, enforce parking policies, and ensure a secure environment for students, staff, and visitors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of standard parking policies and procedures.
• Ability to quickly learn campus geography (streets, lots, and structures).
• Ability to react calmly and effectively under pressure or in stressful situations.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to handle situations with diplomacy and tact.
• Regular, predictable, and reliable attendance at work.
• Ability to maintain a professional appearance and have reliable transportation to and from work.
• Three Professional References (name, position, contact number and email) listed on your CV/resume.
• Bilingual fluency in French and English desired.

Responsibilities

• Direct vehicle traffic and patrol assigned areas to ensure compliance with school parking procedures and maintain a safe environment.
• Maintain communication with dispatch and school staff using two-way radios or mobile phones.
• Promptly report information regarding incidents, safety concerns, or emergencies to the appropriate personnel.
• Identify vehicles in violation of parking codes and monitor the campus for suspicious objects or unauthorized vehicles.
• Develop and maintain positive public relations by interacting with staff, parents, and visitors with courtesy and tact.
• Work well with others and function as a strong team player.
• Perform other related/additional duties and tasks as assigned.
