Job summary

Miami University Parking Services seeks a Parking Technician to support the daily operation of campus lots and structures under the supervision of the Administrative Supervisor.

You will assist customers, collect fees, issue citations, help during special events, and provide directions while upholding university policies and safety procedures. This on-campus role requires reliability and good service skills.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or GED and six months of related experience, or a combination of education and experience.
• Preferred experience includes parking enforcement, security, municipal operations, or customer service.

Responsibilities

• Patrol parking lots and structures; report issues; issue citations; inform supervisor of maintenance needs.
• Operate cash register to calculate fees; collect money; reconcile cash drawer and totals.
• Assist staff, faculty, students, and visitors with directions and parking policies; refer problems to supervisor.
• Collect monies from meters and deliver to business office.
• Assist with events (sports, concerts, conferences) and direct parking when needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
