Job summary

Miami University Parking Services is seeking a Parking Technician to assist with daily operations of campus parking lots and structures. Under supervision, you will provide customer service, patrol facilities, and manage cash transactions related to parking fees.

You will also report maintenance needs, issue citations as needed, and help visitors with parking policies. A high school diploma or GED is required, with six months of related experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or GED and six months of related experience, or a combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Patrol parking lots and structures.
• Note and report any suspicious activity.
• Issue parking violation citations.
• Inform supervisor of maintenance, repair and signage replacement needs.
• Operate cash register to calculate parking fees.
• Collect money and make change.
• Prepare receipts as required.
• Reconcile cash drawer and ticket totals.
• Provide assistance to staff, faculty, students and visitors including directions and information on parking policies.
