Job summary

The University of Nevada, Reno is seeking students for a Parking Enforcement position on campus. You will enforce parking regulations, assist with campus inquiries, help motorists with basic vehicle issues, monitor bike racks, and support large events such as football games.

Schedule: Monday – Thursday 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm; up to 25 hours/week during the semester and up to 40 hours/week during breaks. Compensation is 13.00/hr-grade Student Level 1.

Qualifications

• Enrollment at the University of Nevada, Reno.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• A valid Class “C” driver’s license or higher at the time of appointment and as a condition of continuing employment.
• The successful candidates must complete the Defensive Driving course shortly after hire.
• Driving carts on busy campus roads along with pedestrians is required for this position.

Responsibilities

• Enforce parking regulations and issue warnings and citations.
• Assist with general campus questions from students, staff, and visitors.
• Assist motorists with basic vehicle issues (battery jump, locked out of vehicle, etc.).
• Monitor bike racks and issue warnings when necessary.
• Work large events including football games.
