Job summary

The California State University, Stanislaus is seeking a Work Study Assistant in the Office of Community-Engaged Learning. The position is a temporary hourly-intermittent student assistant role with a focus on coordinating volunteer opportunities and supporting campus events in Stanislaus - Turlock.

Start Date: on or after September 14, 2026 and ending on or before May 21, 2027, with possible reappointment based on budget and performance.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate students must be registered/enrolled in a minimum of six (6) Fall/Spring units.
• Post-baccalaureate students in a graduate program must be registered in a minimum of four (4) Fall/Spring units.
• Must have received and accepted a Financial Aid award for the current semester/year in which you are applying.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate campus communication about volunteer opportunities for students.
• Assist with outreach and management of on- and off-campus events.
• Create and maintain files for various student, faculty, and community events and activities.
• Provide support on-site at on- and off-campus community events.
• Coordinates and prioritizes clerical projects interspersed with the day-to-day activities and operations of the department.
• Compose letters and signage for the campus community.
• Develop materials for the promotion of service and service learning events in coordination with faculty and other University departments.
• Communicate effectively and professionally with faculty, staff, students, and the public via email correspondence, in-person interactions, and/or telephone communications.
