North Carolina State University is seeking an IT Network Administrator I in Raleigh to support core campus network operations and projects. You’ll manage wired and wireless networks, VPN, IPAM, and related services, with a focus on reliability and performance.

Hours are 8am–5pm, Monday–Friday, with after-hours as needed. Collaboration with the software development team and ongoing vulnerability assessments are part of the role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 0–2 years of relevant experience.
• Solid knowledge of TCP/IP, subnets, VLANs, OSI model.
• Experience with enterprise ticketing tools (e.g., ServiceNow).
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day operations of core campus network.
• Oversee network installation projects and timelines.
• Provide campus consultancy on connectivity solutions.
• Document procedures and templates to improve efficiency.
• Coordinate with software development teams to optimize tools.
