Job summary

North Carolina State University is seeking an IT System Administrator in Raleigh, NC, to support enterprise applications and automated workloads. You will work with the AWS team to optimize processes, manage scheduling, EDI processing, and CMDB integrity, while providing reliable on-call support.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in IT/CS or related field, and hands-on experience with workload schedulers, EDI, ERP systems, and ServiceNow.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related discipline; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
Production support experience in a 24×7 enterprise environment.
Experience managing batch processes with workload scheduling software (IBM Workload Scheduler, CA-7, Control-M).
Unix shell scripting experience.
Familiarity with ERP systems such as PeopleSoft or SAP.
Experience with ServiceNow or similar ticketing tools; ITIL knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

Bridge the gap between business needs and technology for enterprise applications and business processes.
Identify process improvement opportunities and implement efficient solutions.
Analyze data from multiple sources to support decision making and incident resolution.
Manage and monitor automated workload scheduling, data transmission, and CMDB integrity.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and participate in on-call rotations as required.
