Job summary

NC State University is seeking an IT System Administrator in Raleigh, NC to join the AWS team within the Shared Services department. The role focuses on automating workloads, managing batch processes, and ensuring reliable data integration across enterprise systems.

Expect 40-hour weeks with potential on-call responsibilities and occasional extended hours. The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in IT or a related field, plus 24x7 operational experience and strong scripting, ERP, and

Qualifications

Production support experience in a 24×7 enterprise environment.
Experience managing batch processes with workload scheduling software (IBM Workload Scheduler, CA-7, Control-M) or EDI tools (B2B Integrator, Boomi).
Unix skills including basic shell scripting.
Ability to communicate effectively, work independently, and collaborate in a team.
Capable of quickly learning tools, detail oriented, and strong in interpersonal, time management and organizational skills.
Experience with ERP applications such as PeopleSoft or SAP.
Experience with ServiceNow or similar ticket management tool.

Responsibilities

Bridge business needs and technology to implement efficient solutions.
Analyze data from multiple sources to inform recommendations and resolve incidents.
Handle multiple concurrent tasks with attention to detail across enterprise apps and operations.
Develop, implement, and execute production and test processes using scheduler tools.
Configure secure data transmissions and report distribution and archiving rules.
Assist with CMDB maintenance and onboarding of resources.
