Job summary

Del Mar College’s Counseling Center seeks a licensed mental health professional to join the team reporting to the Director of Counseling. The role focuses on individual, couple, and group counseling to support students facing depression, anxiety, stress, and related challenges, with referrals to campus and community resources as needed.

The ideal candidate will hold a Master’s degree in Counseling or a related field, have 18 months of mental health experience, and be licensed in Texas (LPC-LC).

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Counseling, Counseling Psychology or related field.
• 18 months’ working experience in mental health or related field.
• Experience working with at-risk student populations.
• Must be licensed mental health professional in the state of Texas such as Licensed Professional Counselor - Associate.

Responsibilities

• Provide brief individual, couple, and group counseling sessions.
• Provide consultation services regarding mental health for students, faculty, and staff.
• Develop and implement education and prevention programs around issues of mental health and well-being in order to create campus-wide awareness.
