The University of Southern Indiana (USI) is seeking a Distribution Services Assistant in Evansville, IN. You will manage timely receipt, transport, sorting, and delivery of mail, packages and freight to over 70 locations, while maintaining secure, organized mailroom operations and charge-back accounting across department budgets.

Standard hours are weekday, with potential overtime. Benefits include tuition waiver, multiple insurance options, and retirement contributions.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED.
Experience with inventory or delivery handling systems.
Excellent customer service to engage staff, faculty and administrators.
Working knowledge of microcomputers, word processing, spreadsheets, databases, Internet and email.
Valid driver’s license and ability to operate campus fleet vehicles.
Ability to obtain forklift and electric pallet jack certification.

Responsibilities

Prepare outbound shipments using FedEx and UPS tracking systems.
Receive and transport incoming mail from USPS.
Check in freight and packages into campus tracking systems.
Maintain a clean and organized warehouse and mailroom.
Deliver sorted mail to mailrooms and obtain electronic signature when required.
Assist with campus bulk mailings and deliveries of packages and freight.
Ensure proper postage and accurate recipient information on all outgoing shipments.
