Job summary

Davenport University in Grand Rapids is seeking a part-time Student Campus Life Assistant to support the Center for Campus Life’s front desk, answer phones, and provide information to students, staff and visitors.

You will assist with events, promote student engagement, manage Engage@DU content, and help coordinate RSOs, CAB, and Student Government activities while upholding university policies and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Must maintain a GPA of 2.5 or higher.
• Must be enrolled at least half time (6 credits undergrad and 3 credits grad) at Davenport University.
• Must be work study eligible.
• Ability to provide high-quality customer service in a busy environment.
• Ability to plan, develop goals, meet deadlines, and manage workload.

Responsibilities

• Perform front desk duties, answer calls, schedule appointments, and support staff.
• Develop community partnerships to create service opportunities for students.
• Handle calls and records with strict confidentiality.
• Design flyers and promotional materials for events.
• Maintain social media presence for Student Life and Campus Life.
• Maintain content on Engage@DU, the student engagement platform.
• Set up informational tables for events in academic buildings.
• Post up-to-date posters in campus areas.
• Foster social opportunities and student engagement with Davenport community.
• Connect students with RSOs, CAB, and Student Government.
• Assist on-site campus events and track attendance.
• Support Panther Resource Closet inventory.
• Follow regulations and policies.
• Participate in ongoing training seminars.
