Job summary

Tailwind Group, Inc. is seeking a part-time Community Assistant for College Town Mankato, MN. You will generate leases and renewals through peer engagement, provide excellent customer service, and support day-to-day operations across the property.

You will conduct tours, serve as the first contact for prospects, and help meet occupancy goals. This in-office role requires a minimum 12 hours per week, including some evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One or more years of experience in customer service, sales, or retail preferred.
• Current enrollment at the local university and status as a current/future resident is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate excellent customer service with residents, prospects, vendors, officials, and community members.
• Maintain curb appeal and keep facilities clean and well maintained.
• Serve as the first point of contact for prospective residents and inquiries.
• Conduct property and unit tours, present leasing options, and answer questions about features and amenities.
• Maintain follow-up communications with prospects via phone, text, and email to maximize conversions.
• Drive leasing traffic through on-campus outreach and peer networking.
• Participate in planning and execution of resident events, move-ins, and community activities.
• Support lockouts for residents after hours, when assigned.
• Act as a property ambassador on and off campus, promoting the community positively.
• Provide first-level support for prospects, residents, and guarantors.
• Clean model unit, clubhouse, and amenity spaces as assigned.
• Process, organize, and distribute resident packages.
• Attend team and 1:1 meetings to stay updated on operations.
• Assist in annual unit turnover and move-in/move-out procedures.
• Work turnover period including nights and weekends as scheduled.
• Open/close office, clubhouse, and model unit following standards.
• Maintain professional appearance and adhere to dress code.
